Jeg Coughlin Sr. "The Captain"
The roots of the Coughlin family tree have been deeply implanted in the drag racing community for 50 years, stretching back to 1960 when Jeg Coughlin Sr. started JEGS Mail Order as a local speed shop in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Since that time, the patriarch of one of the most successful drag racing families in history has proudly passed down his love of the sport to each of his four sons, and the 2009 season proved that his passion for racing flows abundantly in the veins of his grandchildren as well. John Coughlin
Diversity is the name of the game for champion racer John Coughlin, who has tasted motorsports success as a driver, a team owner, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a father. As a driver, the veteran drag racer has steadily expanded his resum? over the years to include a pair of North Central Division Top Dragster championships (2007 and 2009) and victories in multiple categories at both the national and divisional levels. But wheeling powerful machines isn't enough for the oldest of drag racing legend Jeg Coughlin Sr.'s four sons... Read More...

Troy Coughlin
It's a title Troy Coughlin chased for 22 years before finally claiming the moniker for good in 2009 when he captured the Scorpion Performance Pro Street championship in the Edelbrock National Muscle Car Association. It was a long journey, but one Coughlin is quick to admit was well worth the effort. As a boy, Coughlin took great pride in the four NHRA North Central Division championships his famous father Jeg Coughlin Sr. won between 1976-1980. Cody Coughlin
The proven way to racing success in the Coughlin always has been a straight line -- as in the 1,320 feet of a drag strip. But third-generation racer Cody Coughlin has quickly proven his family pedigree translates well to oval tracks. At just 13 years of age, the son of drag racing champion John Coughlin and grandson of NHRA legend Jeg Coughlin Sr. already has a title to his name after winning USAC's Heavy Mod division in its .25 Midget Series in the fall of 2009.
