After moving her way into the NHRA's Sportsman ranks on a limited basis in the second half of 2017, third-generation drag racer Paige Coughlin continues to learn the ropes in the ultra-competitive Super Comp class behind the wheel of her 8-second JEGS.com dragster.
Steeped in racing tradition, Paige is the daughter of three-time NHRA Pro Mod champion Troy Coughlin, the sister of multi-time NHRA race winner Troy Coughlin Jr., and granddaughter of Hall of Famer Jeg Coughlin Sr. She began racing in a Junior Dragster in 2014 before moving to the 8.9-second, 175-mph JEGS.com dragster in 2017.
Paige licensed in a Super Comp car under the guidance of her legendary grandfather, the founder of JEGS High Performance, her dad and JEGS.com crew chief Justin Beaver.
Aside from racing and with the steady guidance of father Troy and mom Julie, Paige earned terrific grades at Worthington Christian High School. Currently, she’s enrolled at Miami University of Ohio in Oxford, Ohio, where she is heavily involved with the equestrian team.
When time permits, Paige will once again race in the North Central Division. She we get back behind the wheel during breaks from school as schedule allows. Away from the track, Paige enjoys showing horses, playing the violin, and learning different languages.
