Team JEGS Chef Nicky Morse will speak to more than 1,000 students visiting the Detroit AutoRama during a question and answer session Friday, March 6, at the Cobo Center.
Morse will serve on a panel of motorsports dignitaries including custom car designer Chip Foose, legendary NHRA announcer Dave McClelland, art garage owner Ashley Webb, and JEGS.com’s Andy Hendricks for the Championship Auto Shows Student Day. The group will discuss career opportunities in racing and automotive industry.
“I’ve done these before and they’re always so much fun,” Morse said. “You open these kids eyes up to the prospect of making a living in a career they are going to love. The cool thing is that you can reach all kinds of people. I’m a classic example of someone with an awesome job in the racing industry even though I’m not mechanically inclined at all. This is a huge business and we try to let these kids know they should chase their dreams no matter what.”
