It’s the Christmas season, and Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Cody Coughlin can't wait to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ with his family.

"We're just going to hang out and eat some good food," said Coughlin.  "I love being able to spend time with my parents (John and Di) and my sister, Kennedi.  We're all in the Christmas spirit and ready for a nice day celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior."

The 19-year-old driver said he looks forward to this day every year because it's a day when everyone just has fun together.  But, he said he and his family also make sure to not lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas.

"It's the time of year when we celebrate Jesus in a way that we seem to not do the rest of the year," Coughlin said.  "That's what I like most about Christmas.  And getting a few gifts is always nice too."

The Columbus, Ohio native wants to extend a Christmas message to all of his friends and fans out there this year.

"Enjoy your time with your family and friends this Christmas," said Coughlin.  "Have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and see you at the race track.”

Cody Coughlin’s 2016 racing schedule will be announced shortly after the New Year.  For more information about the rising young start, check out the new codycoughlin.com today.
