DELAWARE, Ohio (May 11) – JEGS.com driver Cody Coughlin was selected No. 19 in Speed51.com's "Short Track Draft" as part of the website's survey of more than 200 short track insiders.
Coughlin, 17, scored his first Pro Late Model victory earlier this year at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and later was the fastest qualifier and earned a podium finish in his first visit to famed Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville.
Speed51.com sent ballots to media members, team and driver development professionals, track and series promoters and officials, product and industry representatives and others, including 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski and past No. 1 Short Track Draft pick Chase Elliott.
Voters were asked to rank the drivers they would choose to compete for their Driver Development team in the top levels of the sport.
Each selection in the top 51 of the Short Track Draft will receive product certificates from JEGS.com, the leading high-performance auto parts store.
