Cody Coughlin ran more than 50 laps in the 2.5-hour practice session Thursday at Michigan International Speedway. The Joe Gibbs Racing Development driver was dialing in his No. 55 JEGS.com Toyota Camry for Friday’s Corrigan Oil 200, his fifth start in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.
“It was good learning experience for me today, and we kept getting faster throughout the afternoon,” Coughlin said. “We are still searching for speed and hoping for a good qualifying run in the morning and a strong finish in the race tomorrow afternoon.”
Coughlin was 13th fastest in practice with a fast lap speed of 179.395 out of 27 cars entered for the 200-mile event.
Qualifying is scheduled for 9:30am EDT on Friday morning with the green flag at 5:15pm EDT. The race will be shown live on FOX Sports 1.
