Back In The Saddle

This weekend at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) marks Cody Coughlin's return to the seat of Super Late Model for the first time in over a month.  His last start came at Berlin Raceway on May 16 where he finished fifth.  Coughlin has just one start at Columbus in a Super Late Model, but he finished second in that race one year ago.  He's made four starts at the 1/3-mile oval in a Pro Late Model with a fourth-place run last year standing as his best result in that type of car.

Columbus Homecoming

This weekend's race is a homecoming for Coughlin as the Columbus Motor Speedway is just a few miles away from his hometown of Delaware, Ohio.  As a result, he gets to race in front of lots of friends and family, including his father, John, his mother, Di, and his sister, Kennedi, as well as what should be a huge contingent of fans all decked out in JEGS yellow.

Let the Good Times Roll

This Saturday's Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 at Columbus Motor Speedway will be Cody Coughlin's twelfth start in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS.  He made four starts in each of the last two years, with three starts already this year.  Coughlin has scored one victory, four top-five's and eight top-10 finishes in those 11 starts.  His victory came on Labor Day last year at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana.

Dotting the “I”

It's no secret that Cody Coughlin is a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.  He's lived most of his life in the shadows of the Ohio State University campus in Columbus and has gone to many games at Ohio Stadium, including a couple games in their run to the NCAA National Championship this past season.  While Coughlin has yet to join the Ohio State University Marching Band on the field to dot the “i,” he'd love to do his own impression of that while celebrating a win at Columbus Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
