>>>Jeg Coughlin has won the Pro Stock title at NHRA’s oldest and most prestigious event twice in his career. He defeated Ron Krisher to win in 2000 and repeated the feat two years later with a final round victory against Jim Yates.

>>>In addition to his two Pro Stock wins, Jeg has also won the U.S. Nationals as a sportsman racer, claiming the Super Gas title at the 1992 event.

>>>During his career, Jeg has appeared in 83 final rounds, 65 as a professional and 18 as a sportsman racer.

>>>With 40 Pro Stock wins, Jeg is the fourth most successful driver in the history of the class. He trails only Warren Johnson (96), Bob Glidden (85), and Greg Anderson (56) in wins.

>>>Jeg has won at least one NHRA national event title at 21 different facilities including O’Reilly Raceway Park. He has won at every current venue on the tour except for Norwalk (and the new z-Max Dragway in Charlotte, which has yet to host an NHRA POWERade Series event.)

>>>When Jeg won his first U.S. Nationals Pro Stock title in 2000, he accomplished a rare feat by winning from the No. 16 qualifying spot.

>>>Jeg’s best qualifying position in Indianapolis is second in 2003. He has qualified in the top half of the Pro Stock field five times at O’Reilly Raceway Park and his average qualifying position is No. 8.

>>>After qualifying No. 6 at the most recent event in Reading, Pa., Jeg is currently ranked sixth in the standings for the K&N Horsepower Challenge, a special $50,000 to win Pro Stock event that is held each year in Norwalk. Drivers qualify for the elite 8-car K&N Horsepower Challenge field by earning points during qualifying for each of the previous 23 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events.

>>>The Coughlin family has combined to win six U.S. Nationals titles. In addition to Jeg’s three wins, Mike won the Pro Stock Truck title in 2001 and 1999 and Troy claimed a Super Gas victory in 1991. The Collectively, the family has reached the final round nine times.

>>>JEGS family patriarch Jeg Coughlin Sr., drove to two U.S. Nationals finals during his career. He was runner-up in Little Eliminator in 1959 and runner-up in Pro Comp in 1975.

>>>Troy’s Super Gas win in 1991 was also the first for the “big speed” Super Gas cars that are possible today. Troy was driving his Pro Stock style Olds and was running over 170 mph for most of eliminations.

>>>Pro Stock Truck was only contested four times at Indy and the Coughlin brothers won twice and scored a runner-up finish.
