Third generation drag racer Troy Coughlin Jr. made the trek to Southern California’s Irwindale Dragstrip this week for a Jr. Dragster challenge on the Jesse James TV show Monster Garage. The competition was between Troy Jr. and a young driver of the Monster Garage-built dragster. Summer-like weather greeted dad Troy Coughlin Sr. and his daughter Meghan along with a Team Jeg’s transporter

Since the Agent was sworn to secrecy on the outcome of the competition, all we can tell you that Troy Jr. won the first round race to his competitor’s red light foul start. As soon as Troy Jr. gets his Ohio drivers license he’ll be angling to roll out one of the Jeg’s Mail Order Super Gas cars to carry on the family tradition. It must be in the blood.
