DELAWARE, Ohio (April 7) — Late Model Stock Car racers participating in the newly-formed JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour presented by GM Performance Parts will be fighting each race weekend for Dan Driesbach-crafted trophies that are sure to become the envy of the motorsports world.

Renowned artist and sculptor Driesbach, formerly of the powerful Rahal/Letterman Racing in the Indy Racing League, is now dedicating all of his time and talents to his own business — Naked Sculpture. Driesbach has been creating unique pieces for years and his work is featured at numerous race shops and R&D facilities around the world.

A few years ago, Driesbach was commissioned by Scott “Woody” Woodruff of JEGS Mail Order to create the individual race trophies and the championship trophy for the JEGS Pro Mod Crown drag racing series and his designs immediately became must-have pieces, not only for what they signified, but for their unparalleled beauty.

“Dan’s an exceptional artist and the way he infuses racing elements into his work sets him apart from anyone I’ve ever seen before,” Woodruff said. “Sporting events sometimes fall into doing the same thing over and over again but with the start of this new venture we wanted to do something that set the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour presented by GM Performance Parts apart. Dan was the first person I called and once again he came through with a spectacular design. I know the racers are going to love winning these trophies.”

Driesbach took a moment to describe his design.

“This essence-themed award was designed with ‘speed implied,'” Driesbach said. “The construction is nearly all Stainless steel. It’s tig welded with aluminum accents and features a piece of uniquely ground accent for each award’s base. Substantial columns lead across the ‘Tri Oval’ base, which was inspired by race tracks across the country, then tuck in behind the floating logos and what gives the appearance of a racing wheel at speed.”
