Three-time NHRA champion Jeg Coughlin is the subject of a cover story and five-page spread in Auto Power Magazine – Brazil, a 150,000 circulation magazine in South America. The story chronicles Coughlin’s off-season move from his own family-run race team to the powerful Don Schumacher Racing camp, while touching on his switch from a General Motors Chevrolet Cavalier to the Hemi-powered Jeg’s Mail Order Dodge Stratus R/T he currently drives. The story also chronicles Coughlin’s relationship with his new crew chief, 10-time Pro Stock champion Bob Glidden, who won 86 national events as a driver.

“We’re very pleased that they selected us for the cover shot,” Coughlin said. “You don’t think about Brazil as a hotbed for drag racing but the truth is those fans down there are lovers of all motorsports. The fellow that interviewed me for this story was very knowledgable on our sport and the fact they put us on the cover to help them sell magazines points to a real appreciation of drag cars in general.”
