Jeg Coughlin III

BIOGRAPHY

With a finance degree from Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University in hand, Jeg Coughlin III is now focusing all of his energies on learning the family business at JEGS High Performance.

It’s the next natural step for Jeg III as he follows in the footsteps of his hall-of-fame grandfather, Jeg Coughlin Sr., who founded JEGS more than 60 years ago, and his father Jeg Coughlin Jr., who now owns and operates JEGS with his brothers John, Mike and Troy Sr.

Clocking in at the worldwide headquarters of JEGS in Delaware, Ohio, isn’t new for Jeg III as he worked alongside 450 JEGS associates throughout his junior and senior years of college. The only difference is that now it’s Jeg III’s full-time pursuit.

Although he’s been concentrating more heavily on the accounting side of the operation, Jeg III has been moving from department to department in an effort to fully understand all aspects of the mail-order parts giant.

In his free time, Jeg III still pursues his love of golf, playing in amateur tournaments around the region. As a younger man, Jeg III won the 2013 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division III golf championship. In his first two years of college, Jeg III excelled both on and off the course, finishing in the top 10 in the 2018 Big 10 Championship and earning OSU Scholar-athlete honors in 2017 and 2018, and Academic All-Big 10 accolades in 2018.
