Jeg Coughlin won the Pro Stock title at the most recent NHRA national event, the Lucas Slick Mist Nationals in Phoenix, Ariz. He enters the AC Delco Gatornationals ready to attack from the No. 2 spot in the Full Throttle Pro Stock points. Jeg is just 2 points behind the leader.

Jeg Coughlin is the reigning NHRA Pro Stock champion. He has earned four NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series titles in his career, including back-to-back titles in 2007 and 2008. His other titles came in 2000 and 2002.

Jeg is the defending Gatornationals Pro Stock champion. He defeated Jason Line in the final round to claim the first of his three wins in 2008. Jeg also won the Gainesville Pro Stock title in 2001, defeating Mark Osborne in the final.

Jeg also set low elapsed time of the event last year with a 6.618-second run in the opening round of eliminations against Ron Krisher

With 42 career Pro Stock wins, Jeg ranks fourth all-time among Pro Stock drivers. Only Warren Johnson (96), Bob Glidden (85) and Greg Anderson (57) have more titles.

At the 2007 Gatornationals, Jeg recorded the best speed of his career with a 210.01 mph run. He is one of just seven drivers to exceed 210-mph in NHRA competition.

In addition to his two wins, Jeg also has three runner-up finishes in Gainesville. He reached the final round in three-straight seasons from 2002-2004.

In 10 appearances at Gainesville Raceway, Jeg has a win-loss record of 23-8 in Pro Stock competition.

Jeg is currently qualified fifth for the K&N Horsepower Challenge, a special eight-car invitational event which is held each June in Norwalk, Ohio at pays $50,000 to the champion.

In 238 career Pro Stock races, Jeg has reached the final round 69 times, recording 42 wins.
