>>>On August, 20 Jeg and his Pro Stock teammate Dave Connolly were part of the official ribbon cutting ceremony at the all new zMax Dragway @ Concord. Coughlin and Connolly drove their Pro Stock Chevy Cobalts through a banner on the starting line to celebrate the grand opening of the new facility.

>>>In 18 events this season, Jeg has two wins, three runner-ups, and three semifinal finishes to his credit. His round win record is 30-15.

>>>Jeg has won at least one NHRA national event title at 21 different facilities. He has won at every current venue on the tour except for Norwalk and the new z-Max Dragway, site of the NHRA Carolinas Nationals (Sept. 11-14th).

>>>After qualifying No. 4 at the most recent event in Indianapolis, Ind., Jeg is currently ranked sixth in the standings for the K&N Horsepower Challenge, a special $50,000 to win Pro Stock event that is held each year in Norwalk. Drivers qualify for the elite 8-car K&N Horsepower Challenge field by earning points during qualifying for each of the previous 23 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events.

>>>With 40 Pro Stock wins, Jeg is the fourth most successful driver in the history of the class. He trails only Warren Johnson (96), Bob Glidden (85), and Greg Anderson (56) in wins.

>>>During his career, Jeg has appeared in 83 final rounds, 65 as a professional and 18 as a sportsman racer.

>>>Jeg has won at least one NHRA national event title in Pro Stock in 10 of the last 12 years. His best season was 2000 when he won 10 times in 14 final round appearances.

>>>Five of Jeg Coughlin’s 40 Pro Stock wins have come when making his first start at a new facility. Jeg won the first time he raced Pro Stock at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas, Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J., Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colo., National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Ohio, and The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

>>>Jeg officially is seeded third in the Countdown to the Championship. He enters the first race of the six-race playoff trailing leader Greg Anderson by 40 points and second place Kurt Johnson by 10 points.
