GLENDORA, Calif. – Incentives for racers looking to attend the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals, May 27-29 at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky., have been sweetened with JEGS boosting the cash purse to an all-time SPORTSnationals record $99,250.  Add contingency awards in excess of $275,000 and special bonus races, and the total award posting approaches $380,000.  A dramatic increase over the 1974 posted awards of $50,700.

The JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals is the most lucrative all-sportsman drag racing event in the country.  Include a Racer Appreciation cookout and JEGS Family Fun Night at Beech Bend Park Friday night and you have a Memorial Day weekend celebration of NHRA Drag Racing that you can’t miss.

Class elimination in Super Stock and Stock at the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals is one of four national events offering class winner contingency payouts.  Twenty-three companies have posted product contingency bonuses totaling $4,855 in Super Stock and $4,655 in Stock for each individual class winner.

Each of the other eliminators will also have special bonus races on Saturday.

Online registration opened March 16 for all Grade levels.  An NHRA Grading Point is not required for entry at the gate for the JEGS SPORTSnationals, but is required as part of the standard NHRA online registration process.  The online pre-entry offers a $40 savings over the gate entry fee of $250.  Crew passes for the event are only $60 and are available only at the gate.
