Salem, IN. (August 27, 2019) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will return to action this Sunday on the Famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway, located in Winchester, Indiana. The event will be part of the Labor Day Weekend World Stock Car Festival, one of the biggest stock car events held each year in Central Indiana. The weekend will feature exciting racing action from the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, ICAR Modifieds All-Star Tour, Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks, Vores Touring Compacts and Thunder Roadsters. Camping will be available all weekend and there will also be the annual Sunday night party in the pavilion featuring live music.
Sunday’s event will be the series seventh event of the season, Johnny VanDoorn picked up the win in the series season opener at Birch Run Speedway on May 18th. Former NASCAR competitor Mike Skinner picked up the win in the series second event of the season at Bristol Motor Speedway on June 1st. Auburn, Indiana’s Hunter Jack got the win in the series third event of the season at Anderson Speedway on June 29th. Series all-time winner Brian Campbell picked up his 10th career series victory in the fourth event of the season event at Baer Field Motorsports Park on July 6th. Bubba Pollard won the Masters of the Pro’s 125 at Memphis Motorsports Park on July 21st, the fifth race of the season. Kyle Jones was the series last winner at the Battle at Berlin 251 on August 17th.
Sunday’s race will be the second in the series 2019 Chase for the Championship, which began with the Berlin Raceway event. Dan Leeck was the regular season points Champion and is locked into the final four drivers who will race for the series Championship. Mason Keller is second in series Chase points to Leeck and is the defending winner of this event. Mandy Chick is in third place, she is 19 points behind Keller. Trever McCoy is in fourth place, he is four points behind Chick. Rookie Tyler MacKenzie is in fifth place, he is 10 points behind McCoy. Current Rookie points leader Jaden Cretacci is in sixth place, 47 points behind MacKenzie. All six series Chase competitors are entered for Sunday’s event at Winchester.
The series Fall Brawl event on Sunday, September 15th will be the third event in the Chase for the Championship. The Season Championship event will take place on Friday, October 11th of Winchester 400 Weekend.
Other CRA competitors entered for Sunday’s race include 2017 and 2018 series Champion Jack Dossey III, 2013 and 2016 series Champion Cody Coughlin, Battle at Berlin 251 winner Kyle Jones, former series Winchester event winner Brandon Oakley, ARCA/CRA Super Series all time starts leader Rick Turner, Chad Pendleton, James Krueger, Jonathan Martin, Josh Smith, Jaren Crabtree and Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Winchester winners J.P. Crabtree and Billy Van Meter.
There will be an open practice for all divisions on Saturday, pits open at 10am, and rotating practice will go from 1pm until 5pm. There will be security at the track all weekend so teams can leave their equipment in the track. Pits open on Sunday at 10am, practice will begin at 12noon with qualifying starting at 3pm. Racing action on Sunday will begin at 5pm and will include heat races for the ICAR Modifieds All-Star Tour, CRA Late Model Sportsman, CRA Street Stocks, Thunder Roadsters and the Vores Touring Compacts. The Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will be the first feature of the night and will be followed by a 20 lap feature for the Vores Touring Compacts. The traditional Sunday night party will begin after the racing is completed.
Pits open on Monday at 10am. The first of five feature events will start at 1pm with the 20 lap Thunder Roadsters feature, then the 40 lap CRA Late Model Sportsman feature, followed by the 100 lap ARCA/CRA Super Series feature, then the 40 lap ICAR Modifieds All-Star Tour feature, with the 40 lap CRA Street Stocks feature ending the day.
