Salem, IN (June 25, 2019) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will return to action this Saturday in the Sport Clips 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Anderson Speedway located in Anderson, Indiana after a two-year hiatus. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour competed at Anderson Speedway from 2011 through the 2016 season. Trent Snyder is a three-time series winner at Anderson, from 2011 through 2013. Florida native Steve Dorer won in 2014, while Indianapolis veteran racer Eddie Van Meter won in 2015. Two-time series Champion Cody Coughlin won the last series event at Anderson Speedway in 2016 on his way to claiming his second series Championship.
Saturday’s event will only be the series third event of the season after the Flat Rock Speedway event was postponed once, then the postponed date was cancelled because of weather. Johnny VanDoorn picked up the win in the series season opener at Birch Run Speedway on May 18th. Former NASCAR competitor Mike Skinner picked up the win in the series second event of the season at Bristol Motor Speedway on June 1st.
Topping the list of entries for Saturday’s event is current series points leader Dan Leeck, who was the series 2014 Champion and has one series win to his credit at Birch Run Speedway during the 2015 season. Second in points Mandy Chick is entered, she is coming off a very impressive fourth place finish at the series event at Bristol Motor Speedway and is only two points behind Leeck. Third in points Mason Keller is also entered, the series 2018 Rookie of the Year is 10 points behind Chick. Fourth in points Trever McCoy is entered, he is 18 points behind Keller. Leading series rookie Jaden Cretacci is also entered, he is fifth in points, 12 points behind McCoy.
2017 and 2018 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion Jack Dossey III is entered to try and pick up his first series win at his home track. Dossey III is a multi-time Champion and winner in the Anderson Speedway MEP Late Model division. Dossey III is competing for the 2019 ARCA/CRA Super Series Championship and Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year and started the 2019 season off with a win in the ARCA/CRA Super Series season opener at Anderson Speedway on April 6th.
Two time series Champion Cody Coughlin is entered. Coughlin raced in the NASCAR Gander Mountain Truck Series the past three years but is back racing a selected schedule of ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour events in 2019.
Florida native Steve Dorer is entered to try and pick up his second series win at Anderson. Dorer was the winner of the famed Redbud 400 ARCA/CRA Super Series event in 2011.
Series veteran Wes Griffith Jr. is entered, Griffith Jr. picked up his first ever series win in the 2018 season Championship event at Winchester Speedway last October. Former Winchester series event winner Brandon Oakley is also entered.
Other top CRA drivers entered include ARCA/CRA Super Series competitor Hunter Jack and his younger brother Tanner who will be making his series 2019 debut Saturday night, Anthony Danta, Josh Smith, Brandon Varney, Cassten Everidge, former Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Anderson event winner Brett Robinson and 2018 Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stock Champion James Kirby.
Nashville native Kyle Ivey is entered to make his second series start of the 2019 season, driving for Sterling Marlin Racing. 15-year-old Iowa native Sammy Smith is entered to make his CRA and series debut with Wimmer Motorsports on Saturday.
There is an open practice on Friday, June 28th, pits open at 4pm, open practice will go from 5 to 8pm. Pits open on Saturday at 1:30 pm. Jerico Performance Products Qualifying will begin at 6:30pm. Racing action will begin at 8pm and will include the Great Clips 100 Presented by JEGS.com for JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Also racing that night will be the CRS Super Trucks and Anderson Speedway ThunderCars.
