DELAWARE, Ohio (December 15, 2006) – Just days after announcing its sponsorship of veteran NASCAR racer Kenny Wallace, JEGS Mail Order has unveiled a comprehensive contingency program for the country’s most popular form of auto racing. The Delaware, Ohio-based, high-performance parts company will also sponsor 60 local NASCAR-sanctioned racetracks across the country.

Beginning in 2007, NEXTEL Cup teams displaying a JEGS sticker on their cars will be eligible for contingency money depending on where they finish on the 43-car grid. Each race winner will receive contingency as will other drivers finishing in random positions in the final order.

“We’re very excited about this program,” said John Coughlin, JEGS’ vice president of marketing and one of four Coughlin brothers who run the company. “The exposure NASCAR receives across the United States, and to a certain extent, the world, is unparalleled and we’re confident this contingency program with the Cup racers will promote our name and raise awareness for what we are and what we do.

“The goal is to have fans of NASCAR think of JEGS Mail Order whenever they need high performance parts.”

By sponsoring local tracks, the Coughlin’s hope to make a better connection with the racers who could use JEGS to provide them with all of their high-performance parts.

“We’ve been doing this for years with our sponsorship of several NHRA drag strips and it’s always been a very successful way for us to let our fellow racers know we’re committed to taking care of them,” Coughlin said. “We’re a racing family and we know first-hand what it’s like to need something for your hot rod. That’s why we guarantee 1-2 day free delivery on most all our parts. And up until 9 p.m. each night, the order will be filled and shipped the same day.

“Drag racing people know they can count on us. Now we want to form that same bond with Saturday night grassroots racers that chase NASCAR dreams. We know that once they give us a try, we’ll deliver for them.”
