DELAWARE, Ohio (April 28) – JEGS, a leader in high-performance auto parts, has extended its partnership with Championship Racing Association through the 2015 circle-track season.
John Coughlin, one of four sons of JEGS founder Jeg Coughlin Sr., made the announcement to all of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour drivers during the season-opening race at Plymouth Speedway last weekend.
“We love what the series has to offer to drivers and teams, and it’s a perfect match for us,” Coughlin said. “JEGS has been involved in drag racing for many years and we recently decided to venture into oval-track racing. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour is crucial to that endeavor and we look forward to many successful years together.”
Cody Coughlin, a third-generation racer in the famous Coughlin family, currently races in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Cody, the son of John and Di Coughlin, won the Howie Lettow Rookie of the Year Award in the series last year.
The JEGS/CRA All-Stars tour presented by GM Performance Parts is a Midwest-based touring series featuring Late Model stock cars using crate engines. It was created in 2011.
The series features 14 races at 12 tracks, including the famed Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis and Winchester Speedway in Indiana.
“We really appreciate JEGS extending their commitment to CRA through the 2015 season,” series director Glenn Luckett said. “Everyone at JEGS has been great to work with. We could not have even started this series without their great support and with their continued support this series will continue to grow and be the premier crate Late Model series in the country.”
