>>>Pro Stock driver Jeg Coughlin has won the Pro Stock title at the 2000 Richmond race. After qualifying third, he defeated Jim Yates in the final round.
>>>After sitting out most of the 2006 season during a self-imposed hiatus, Coughlin returned to Pro Stock at the Richmond event. He qualified No. 7 in his JEGS Chevy and posted a round two finish.
>>>In five career appearances at Virginia Motorsports Park, Jeg has an 8-3 round win record in Pro Stock competition.
>>>In 21events this season, Jeg has two wins, four runner-ups, and five semifinal finishes to his credit. His round win record is 36-18. He has also reached at least the semifinals in five of the last seven races.
>>>With three races remaining in the NHRA Countdown to 1 playoff, Jeg is ranked No. 1 in Pro Stock. He currently enjoys a 32 point lead over second place Kurt Johnson. He is battling for what would be his fifth career NHRA world championship.
>>>With 40 Pro Stock wins, Jeg is the fourth most successful driver in the history of the class. He trails only Warren Johnson (96), Bob Glidden (85), and Greg Anderson (56) in wins.

>>>Jeg has qualified No. 1, 14 times in his career. In 21 races this year, Jeg has started from the top half of the Pro Stock field 13 times.
>>>Jeg’s brother, Troy, and his son, Troy Jr. will also be racing at the NHRA Virginia Nationals. Troy will be racing in the JEGS ProMod Challenge series while Troy Jr., will be racing his JEGS dragster in the Super Comp class. Troy Sr., recently ran a best of 6.01-seconds at over 237 mph in his new supercharged Camaro.
>>>Jeg has won at least one NHRA national event title at 21 different facilities. He has won at every current venue on the tour except for Norwalk and the new z-Max Dragway in Charlotte, which have hosted just three events.
>>>After qualifying No. 9 at the most recent event in Memphis, Jeg is currently ranked fourth in the standings for the K&N Horsepower Challenge, a special $50,000 to win Pro Stock event that is held each year in Norwalk. Drivers qualify for the elite 8-car K&N Horsepower Challenge field by earning points during qualifying for each of the previous 23 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events.
