Lights, camera, action: Continuing a trend they started in 1998, Jeg’s Mail Order Racing will continue to showcase ESPN’s in-car camera in 2004. Over the years, the Jeg’s team has helped develop the rooftop camera, the panning rooftop camera, a 360-degree cockpit camera, the panning headlight camera, a suspension camera, and a panning bumper camera to enhance ESPN’s broadcast and bring fans of NHRA POWERade Drag Racing as close to the action as possible. In addition, the team also allows ESPN to monitor and use audio conversations over the team radios.
“We are excited to bring new shots and angles to our sport,” said Scott Woodruff, director of motorsports/media for Jeg’s. “This year we will again roll out a number of new shots that will be exciting for the fans and add value to the coverage of our sport.”
