WHAT: Inaugural NHRA Norwalk Nationals, the 11th of 23 events in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Professional competitors in four categories earn points leading to 2007 NHRA POWERade Series world championships.

Sportsman competitors in seven categories earn points leading to 2007 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series world championships.

WHERE: Norwalk Raceway Park, Norwalk, Ohio. The track is located half way between Cleveland and Toledo; just an hour and a half north of Columbus. The Ohio Turnpike is less than 10 minutes away.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, June 28-July 1.

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.3 million.

SCHEDULE:

THURSDAY, June 28 – Sportsman qualifying and time trials begin at 9 a.m.
FRIDAY, June 29 – Sportsman qualifying and eliminations begin at 8:30 a.m. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 4 and 7 p.m.
SATURDAY, June 30 – Sportsman eliminations begin at 8 a.m. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at noon and 2:30 p.m.
SUNDAY, July 1 – Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m. FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.

TELEVISION:

Saturday, June 30, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise two hours of qualifying highlights at 10 p.m. (ET).
Sunday July 1, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will air NHRA Race Day at 11 a.m. (ET).
Sunday, July 1, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise three hours of eliminations at 8 p.m. (ET).
