CHARLOTTE (Sept. 14) — Dodge Pro Stock driver Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Corvette Pro Mod racer Troy Coughlin will have to wait to continue their chase for an NHRA Carolina Nationals victory.

NHRA officials postponed the race Sunday during the first round of eliminations. The Pro Stock portion of the event will be completed during the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals next weekend at Texas Motorplex.

The Powerrocks Pro Mod race will be completed during the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals on Sept. 26-28 at Gateway Motorsports Park near St. Louis. Troy Coughlin qualified No. 11 and won his first-round race against Kevin Fiscus on Saturday in Charlotte.

Jeg Coughlin Jr. qualified No. 7 in Charlotte, which was the first race of the Countdown to the Championship. He is fourth in the Pro Stock points standings.
