Center Line, Mich. – Speed Channel’s “SpeedFreaks” TV show plays host to two of Team Mopar’s NHRA pilots this Saturday, August 20. Whit Bazemore and Jeg Coughlin Jr., will chat with Kenny Sargent, Crash Gladys, Statt Mann Caruthers and Lugg Nuttz beginning at 12 a.m. EST.
Bazemore competes in the NHRA POWERade Funny Car Series for Don Schumacher Racing. The Matco Tools Dodge Stratus R/T team is currently ranked seventh in series points, and has collected two victories thus far in 2005. Coughlin, Jr., drives the Jeg’s Mail Order Dodge Stratus R/T for Don Schumacher Racing and is currently ninth in NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Series points. The Ohio resident is also an advocate of cancer research, promoting the Jeg’s Foundation for Cancer Research in addition to his driving duties.
The August 20 “SpeedFreaks” TV program was shot on location in Denver, Colo., from the Mopar Speedshop display at the NHRA Mopar Mile High Nationals. The annual event is held at Bandimere Speedway.
“SpeedFreaks” can be heard every Sunday night on the Freak Radio Network. The network houses more than 80 radio stations across the United States, including such major markets at Los Angeles, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit and Las Vegas.
