The race team concluded a three-day test session recently and the team was pleased with the results. The teams first preseason test session occurred in Bradenton, FL January 26-28th. Jeg made a total of 14 runs in his new 2004 JEG’S Mail Order Chevy Cavalier. His best run was a 6.69 at 205.66 mph and it was a career best. Troy chalked up a total of 12 runs in his car and posted a best run of 6.71 at 205.60 mph, which was also a career best. The team focused on testing the new tire and bead lock wheel. In addition, a series of new combinations were tested on the track after extensive time thinking them through at the shop. The new chassis for Jeg had a series of tests done to find “sweetspots” and learn how the new car responded. Jeg also made a number of runs in his bracket Dragster to break in tires for the team.
