NHRA’s Jr. Dragster program will be in the spotlight tonight on the highly popular show Monster Garage. The episode will air at 8:00 pm (ET/PT) on the Discovery Channel.

The episode will feature six students from Groves High School in Garden City, GA. The group built the chassis for the Jr. Dragster with the assistance Jr. Dragster builder MX2. The engine in the car was provided by JEG’S Mail Order.

Third generation drag racer Troy Coughlin Jr. made the trek to Southern California’s Irwindale Dragstrip in mid-January to film the Jr. Dragster challenge on the Jesse James TV show Monster Garage. The competition was between Troy Jr. and a young driver of the Monster Garage-built dragster. The result will be revealed when the program airs on the Discovery Channel tonight at 8:00 pm (ET/PT).
