Pre Race Summary

Troy Coughlin is looking forward to racing at Bristol Dragway and why shouldn’t he? He won the 2000 Winston Showdown specialty event at the track, which was his first win in Pro Stock. Troy also scored another first of his career at Bristol Raceway when he qualified No. 1 in 2002 in Pro Stock. It remains his only career No. 1 qualifying position in Pro Stock to date for the 10-year Pro Stock veteran.

“How could you not be excited to come to a track where you have had the type of success we have had in the past,” said Troy. “We haven’t exactly been on fire this year and I can’t think of a better place to turn things around than Bristol Dragway.”

Troy made a series of testing and exhibition runs as part of the NHRA Cajun SPORTSnationals at No Problem Raceway in Belle, Louisiana last weekend.

“We used the time to break in a bunch of tires that we will use over the next couple of weeks and get the team working together on the same page,” said Troy. “It was also fun to give the fans a great show and introduce some new fans to Pro Stock up close and personal.”
