Team JEG’S – Pro Stock
Troy Coughlin
Race Day Summary
In the opening round Troy Coughlin took on Jason Line. Lane choice went to Line and the Jeg’s Mail Order Chevy Cavalier rolled into the right lane.
The starting line advantage went to Troy Coughlin and the yellow and black Jeg’s machine by .022 seconds (.036 to .058). Troy’s car launched and made a move toward the center line. Coughlin quickly brought the car back over to the right. However, the car lost traction and shot over to the right side of the groove. The car got closer to the wall and Troy shut off.
“I am glad we put together a solid effort during qualifying this weekend,” said Coughlin. “I had my handsful driving in the first round. The car almost immediately took off to the left and I got it back to the right. I tried staying in it as long as I could because you never know what is going on in the other lane. Shutting off was the right decision without a doubt. We will head back to the shop and get ready for Atlanta.”
