Pre Race Summary

Troy Coughlin and his yellow and black Jeg’s Mail Order Chevy Cavalier are looking ahead to the second-half of the season. The 39-year old knows there is nothing that can be done about the past other than learn from it.

Coughlin is looking to start his march into the top-ten from the No. 20 position in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock championship. He has 195 points at the halfway point of the 2004 season and is looking to aggressively add to his point total in the second-half of the season.

“We are focused on having a strong second-half of the season,” said Coughlin. “The evolution that our team has gone through should help put us in a better competitive position for the remainder of the season. We should have a pretty good baseline tune up going into St. Louis. The testing we did recently at the track should give us a good place to start.”

History At Event:

In 2000, Troy qualified for the Pro Stock field, but did not compete in round one of eliminations due to the birth of his daughter.
