NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series
NHRA Southern Nationals
Atlanta, GA
May 13-16th
Team JEG’S – Pro Stock
Troy Coughlin
Pre Race
This year will mark the 10th time Troy Coughlin has raced in Pro Stock at the NHRA Southern Nationals. Troy has qualified in eight of his nine appearances at Atlanta Dragway dating back to 1995. His best finish came in 2000, where he reached the semifinals before losing to his brother, Jeg.
“We made a step in the right direction in Bristol and now we need to keep going,” said Coughlin. “We have what it takes to perform under pressure as a group. The resources are here, but the most important part to any team is the people and how they work together. We have a great team of individuals that all respect what each other does and how they all effect the big picture. I feel that we can pick up right where we left off in Bristol. Our goal is to continue to improve and move up in the NHRA POWERade points.”
A strong performance at Atlanta Dragway can move Troy Coughlin and his Jeg’s Mail Order Chevy Cavalier as high as the No. 13 position. Troy currently sits in the No. 21 spot with 17 races to go until the close of the 2004 NHRA POWERade season.
