JEGS CRASalem, Indiana (January 19, 2011): Champion Racing Association (CRA) continues to prepare for the 2011 racing season within the all new JEGS/CRA All-Star Tour presented by GM Performance Parts. The schedule has been released and License/Number Registration Forms are also available as teams will begin scrambling for their preferred numbers to adorn the sides of their respective machines.

All the while, CRA continues to build its’ staff for the upcoming campaign within the new series and on the heels of the hiring of new Media Director / Public Address Announcer, Matt Prieur, comes another key personnel member in the form of a Photographer, widely regarded as one of the best in the country.

Lansing, Illinois native, Chuck Gonzalez, has joined the All-Star Tour for the new series’ inaugural season as the Official Photographer. A 20-year veteran of all forms of motorsports photography, Gonzalez, the Owner/President of CG Photos, has been a fixture in the Chicagoland racing scene for his entire career.

“I’m looking forward to working with Glenn (Luckett), R.J. (Scott) and the entire CRA family along with all of the Race Teams and Fans of the new JEGS/CRA All-Star Tour presented by GM Performance Parts,” Stated the 49-year-old Gonzalez. “This has been my part of my dream, to some day work with a professional series such as CRA and now I have that chance and I can’t wait for the season to start.”

Over his career, Gonzalez’s work has been published in many national and regional motorsports publications including; Late Model Digest, Dirt Late Model, Stock Car Racing, Circle Track Magazine, Speedway Illustrated, Muddslinger, National Dirt Digest, Behind the Wheel, Midwest Racing News, and many others.

Gonzalez’s career began in 1991 shooting photos at various pavement facilities throughout Illinois and Indiana. In 1995, he expanded his efforts to dirt tracks in both states and in 1997, he joined Kankakee Speedway and LaSalle Speedway as each tracks’ Official Photographer. In addition to his roles at both facilities, he also began traveling to many special events within the dirt late model racing world.

In 2003, Gonzalez went back to the pavement side and was named the Official Photographer at Illiana Motor Speedway where he stayed until the end of the 2006 season when he was asked to join the now defunct ASA Late Model Series after the legendary Bob Milner passed away suddenly in September of 2006. Gonzalez stayed with that series until the end of the 2010 campaign.

His Business; CG Photos has many great things to offer the new All-Star Tour and its’ race teams along-with the entire racing community. CG Photos provides professional action photography and many great novelty items (made in house) and autograph cards.
