DELAWARE, Ohio (July 25) — Third-generation drag racer Troy Coughlin Jr. is ready to get back on track this weekend in Stanton, Mich. As usual, the son of champion racer Troy Coughlin and grandson of legend Jeg Coughlin Sr. will be driving both his yellow and black JEGS.com Super Comp dragster and Super Gas roadster.
“My goal this weekend is to focus and make one pass at a time,” Coughlin said. “I really like this track because it has a lot of history behind it, and I'll like it even more if I can go rounds and earn as many championship points as possible.”
This marks the midway point in the Division 3 schedule for Coughlin. In the past, he has had great success at this track and has gone rounds, something he wants to repeat this time through.
“I’m looking forward to this race for sure,” Coughlin said. “Both cars are ready to go, so it should be a good weekend.”
Qualifying runs are scheduled to start Friday morning and eliminations will begin at 9 .a.m. Sunday.
